Ssold Apphire The Blue Jaguar by Kathryn Lee

Features

ARTIST NOTES: Sapphire's a really cool character - just looking at the colour of his coat tells you that and a lot more... Why is he looking a little thoughtful and blue? Because his species are on the 'near threatened' list, which means numbers are declining and he's one step nearer to extinction. What a tragedy to lose such a beautiful animal - but it's not too late to save him and others like him. There are lots of organisations such as The World Wildlife Fund who worok tirelessly to save endangered species from extinction. Sapphire was created with lots of love and watercolour with a little gouache, and was inspired by a photo from Deborah Coker, with room dispplay from insituartroom. Shades of Cobalt, Indigo, Cobalt Turquoise, Jade, Aqua and Emerald

ARTIST BIO

I am an Australian artist living in Sydney.

My love of colour has taken me on a journey through ceramics, textiles and fibre art, to find my true passion- painting and drawing 🩷💜🩷

Originally working in watercolour, charcoal and inks, I now create most of my art in acrylics on canvas - which means they don't need to be framed.

My work has been exhibited and sold at the Sydney Art Show, Sydney stores, online, and art virtual and live art shows. I enjoy the opportunity to meet my followers in person at these events.

I draw inspiration from Nature and get beautiful florals. I hope you like them

My paintings have been accepted into art shows, art competitions and awards. I was selected to participate in The Australian Watercolour Muster 2021, and invited to take part in the 6th Annual International Salon of Painting at the Menuinda Schneider Gallery in LA. I have also been a featured guest artist on an art website, and my artworks hang in many homes around the world.

I am on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/klkatlee

My aim is to bring affordable, original art within reach of the average Australian family, and to encourage children to experience the joy to be found in creativity.
