ARTIST BIO

Joe Faust is a landscape artist who uses a combination of oil paint and cold wax to intuitively express the Australian bush.

Joe's painting process, his choice of palette, brush strokes and gestural techniques with the palette knife add life, movement and light to his paintings is evoked by sensations from listening to varied music genres. His emotional response to these transcedent feelings is the source from which he achieves his interpretation of the landscape.

- Inspired by a group of self-taught artists, the 'Brushmen of the Bush', Joe  discovered  distinctive techniques  through experimentation and openness to new ideas and influences which has continuously evolved in an individualistic painting style.
