Into The Light by Kim Domjahn

Features

ARTIST NOTES: Into The Light (Fields of Gold) is a deeply personal abstract painting born out of a profound journey of resilience and recovery. Thick, heavily texturized vertical strokes of shimmering gold, amber, and radiant white break upward out of a dense, chaotic layer of dark, complex shadows below. Created during a long period of medical hardship, the composition beautifully symbolizes the emotional triumph of finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Measuring 43cm x 52cm and presented in an elegant frame, this original acrylic work is a powerful testament to hope and renewal, making it an incredibly moving and visually stunning statement piece for any home

Greetings and thank-you for visiting my little corner of Gallery247.

I am hopeful you will find something here that catches your eye or sparks your curiosity.

My name is Kim, and at time of writing I am currently 70 years "young"

To be completely honest, I don't traditionally class my self as a formal Artist as my true journey with the paintbrush re-started about 13 years ago now. It was born out of frustration and a need for focus during a long recovery from a series of major medical procedures and operations.

So as to get my mind, hands and overall coordination working together again, I picked up a paintbrush for the first time since my high school art class days.

What began as an antidote to boredom quickly transformed into a profound passion for "Abstract Expressionism"

Working primarily with Acrylics on various canvas sizes-and more recently also experimenting with the learning curve of oils.

My work is driven by raw emotion, heavy physical texture, and the fluid interplay of mixing colour to enhance the toning and blending of colour itself. I have also incorparated such things as LED lighting, Crystals that also are back lit, Gold, Silver foils and Magnets. If you wish to know how, and which pieces, then I invite you to view my Gallery

I find true freedom in abstraction.

It allows to give visual, tactile form to personal human experiences, from the winding maze of medical recovery to the simple, uplifting rhythm of nature, music and everyday life.

To my own pleasant surprise, I have even sold a few pieces along the way, and I keep that list up to date here on the site, so I would be honoured if you viewed them.

Every piece I create is finished with clean painted borders and arrives wired ready to hang, ensuring they bring dynamic comtemporary energy straight into your home. Most of the works are not framed which I believe allows you to decide the best frame to suit the piece as well as your decor. And every piece displayed on Gallery247 is registered with the National Registry of Australian Art and Artists and comes with its own Certificate of Authenticity

I totally understand and accept that Abstract Art is highly subjective and not to everyone's taste, but then, only one person can purchase the piece, so it only takes one person to like it.

I am always open and happy to receive honest, constructive feedback or suggestions on how to improve.

And finally, if you have read this far, I will again thank you for stopping by and I hope you enjoy exploring my little corner of Gallery247

Stay Safe Stay Well

Regards

Kim
